HOUSTON – Paranjpe Mahadass Ruemke LLP (PMR Law) co-founders Tej Paranjpe and Raj Mahadass have earned recognition in the 2022 Lawdragon 500 Leading Plaintiff Consumer Lawyers legal guide based on their dedication and commitment to personal injury clients.

Lawdragon 500 highlights top attorneys nationwide who seek justice through verdicts and settlements as well as class action lawsuits. Mr. Paranjpe and Mr. Mahadass are among a group of 500 attorneys selected to the Lawdragon 2022 listing, which is compiled through initial attorney nominations, with a peer review panel making the final selection.

The firm is known for its successful representation of individuals harmed by catastrophic accidents. Recently, the firm secured an appellate ruling for a mother whose son was killed after being struck by a food delivery driver while he was walking home in Conroe, Texas. Finding the restaurant liable for its driver’s action, a judge awarded the mother $1.7 million, plus post-judgment interest. The Ninth Court of Appeals affirmed the trial court’s ruling.

The firm also resolved a wrongful death case for the family of a U.S. Army soldier based in El Paso who was killed after being struck while crossing a street at a crosswalk.

Seeking to hold oil and gas companies accountable for dangerous business practices, the firm continues to represent homeowners in litigation against companies involved in the improper construction of pipelines near homes in Channelview and Jacinto City, Texas. The litigation could impact how companies design and build pipelines through residential areas.

Other cases the firm has recently filed include a proposed class-action lawsuit involving 2020 Ford 350 pickup trucks based on claims the company misrepresented the truck’s towing and hauling capabilities. The lawsuit accuses Ford of selling, advertising, and marketing false truck labels and only providing accurate labels as a remedy to consumers after 9,979 trucks were recalled.

In a case against tech giant Apple, PMR Law represents a San Antonio family who has filed a lawsuit over its AirPods. The family’s teenage son has permanent hearing damage in his right ear after his AirPod unexpectedly increased in volume during an Amber alert and shattered his eardrum.

Mr. Paranjpe and Mr. Mahadass are frequently honored for their representation of plaintiffs, with selections to Best Lawyers in America and Texas Super Lawyers.
